LA Snaps

I headed to LA about two weeks ago for a best friends beach wedding and of course to get some beach time in. Unfortunately, I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. The first few days were filled with wedding activities, and then tending to  hangover activities. I usually fill up my travel schedule going to large cities where I can walk around, so I wasn't completely sold on an LA vacation before I went. The thought of driving everywhere and dealing with parking always stopped me from going. Boy was I stupid. I fell in LOVE. LOVE. I loved the scenery, the food, the people, the weather, everything.

The first few days we stayed right on Venice Beach. The wedding was in Santa Monica so it was close enough for the wedding activities. Venice beach totally spoke to my hippie heart. We spent a lot of time just walking on the beach and people watching. There is some really good people watching here.

The most important part of any vacation for me is always the food. We ate Korean burritos at  Roy Choi's Taquira. We had a sloppy egg sandwich at Eggslut. We had so. many. donuts. at DK's Donuts & Bakery.  And then we had breakfast pizza at Jon & Vinny's.  Let's all give a round of applause for the food in LA. It was all top notch.

I also took some time to do some vintage clothing shopping. Since I can't pack furniture in a suitcase I decided the next best thing was vintage clothing! We found probably my favorite place on earth, Hidden Treasures.  That place is seriously my happy place. If I close my eyes I can sometimes pretend i'm still there, digging through so much good stuff.

We spent the last night living the high roller lifestyle and The Avalon in Beverly Hills. Everyone deserves champagne at check in and a dip in this pool once in their life right? We only stayed one night because we are normal people not insane millionaires.

Our last night we went to the UCB and saw some improv. I'm actually a huge comedy nerd so it was basically a dream come true. If I lived there, I would be there every week.

All in all it was a good trip. And by good, I mean I wanted to leave my life behind and move to LA as soon as I got home. I still miss it and I hope I can find a reason to get back really soon!
